A few things of note:
- Pre-emergent breakdown is accelerated by physical disruption (i.e. a puncture to the soil surface) or by moisture. This means that homeowners may be in a delicate balance of irrigating their yards but in combination with rainfall, the pre-emergent may deteriorate allowing breakthrough weed growth prior to the next application.
- Post-weed treatment of summer weeds forces a weed to die by over-growing to the point of death (i.e. the weeds may accelerate in growth visibility)
- Herbicides are not applied as the aerating/seeding window approaches and shortly after it is completed.
- There is no economical solution for Poa weeds due to its germination window aligning with fescue.
Do keep in mind that it may take up to two weeks for you to see results from the previous post-emergent herbicidal application. Should you feel that you require a re-treatment of your yard by TruGreen, please complete this work order. TruGreen will only retreat after inspection and if they feel it is warranted.
Note that TruGreeen only manages turf chemical applciations. All other landscaping matters are managed by Bland. Their questions/concerns form may be found here. Failure to utilize the correct form will result in no response - it is the homeowner's responsibility to complete the appropriate form.
