Purpose: The purpose of this survey is for Brown County Public Health to understand how new parents are doing, what challenges they face, what kind of support they need, and what kind of support they get.
Intro: Becoming a parent is an exciting time with many happy moments, but it can also bring stress, worry, and strong emotions. Pregnancy, giving birth, and caring for a newborn can affect anyone’s mental health. For this survey, mental health means how we feel, think, and act, and how we handle stress, connect with others, and make choices. It is important at every stage of life. Maternal mental health focuses on a mother’s mental well-being during pregnancy and up to 18-24 months after giving birth.
