Class Description:

The focus of this six-week course is making wheel-thrown pottery for purposeful usage in the kitchen. Students will make two or more functional stoneware pieces for cooking/serving from ideas provided by the instructor (ex: bakers, casseroles, chip & dips, brie bakers, steamers, salad bowls, pasta bowls, colanders, soup bowls, serving platters, etc...) The culminating activity will be a community meal in our OCAF School Street kitchen with each student using their chosen pottery piece and chosen recipe.
