We want everyone to enjoy the day so it’s important that everyone knows what they are participating in and reads the following information to confirm they understand.
The event day is a competition drift event, with additional features of which cruising is just one aspect alongside many celebratory activations
The 2x allocated sessions are TIME CERTAIN to meet broadcaster commitments and are approx 45 minutes each from session commencing to last car intended off the track.
The speed limit is 120kmph MAX with no exceptions (80kmph if wet) and NO loss of traction or power skids. You will be removed from the premises if you break this rule.
We are welcoming NZ Police alongside our own pace vehicles to be out on track.
Your car MUST have a current WOF and Rego visible, any other car will require D1NZ scrutineers inspection at a cost of $100 cash up front.
You must have a full license to participate, the event does not have the capacity to oversee restricted permits. Absolutely no learners.
YES, you can take kids of all ages as passengers with the correct indemnity. If they need a car seat to get to the track then they need one on it.
All passengers must have signed the Jotform and indemnity, and have a seat belt on before exiting pits – all cars and passengers will be checked on exit and must be ready, or will be moved to the back of the line. The indemnity form for passengers can be found here: Passenger Indemnity
No arms, cameras or other objects are to be hung out windows. We will not shut the track down if you drop something. This includes convertibles.
Absolutely no oil or fluid leaks will be allowed given the nature of the event, any vehicle that leaks fluids or causes other impediments to the event will be charged for clean up materials. In the events something does happen you are expected to immediately move to the grass and STOP.
No car transfers within 7 days of the event. D1NZ/Grit Motorsport do not have the capacity to manage this on the day and you simply will not have access if your car is not registered prior.
Grit Motorsport Ltd ("D1NZ") and:
its parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies (including the landowner), and their respective directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and volunteers (collectively the "Released Parties")
Releasing Parties:
Means and includes the undersigned as well as the undersigned's spouse, children, parents, guardians, heirs, next of kin, and any legal or personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors, assigns, or anyone else who might claim or sue on the undersigned's behalf.
Event:
Means any motorsport activities or services at Pukekohe Park Raceway which are organised or conducted by Grit Motorsport Ltd or otherwise under the responsibility/control of Grit Motorsport Ltd.
I, the undersigned, agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions in favour, and for the benefit of, the Released Parties:
I certify that:
(a) I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and hold a current full driver’s licence.
(b) I am not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substances that impair my ability to safely drive;
(c) I am in good health, physical condition, and have the skill to safely participate. I have no medical conditions that would impair my participation.
I agree to familiarise myself with and comply with all safety guidelines and regulations provided by Grit Motorsport Ltd and its representatives during the Event, including the use of full safety gear and attend any briefing as communicated via supplied email.
I will follow all instructions and directions given by Grit Motorsport Ltd staff, officials, and agents during the Event.
I will not allow any person other than the named driver to operate the vehicle.
I will not access the track or pit areas without permission from Grit Motorsport Ltd staff.
I will exercise due care while participating in or attending the Event.
I understand that inappropriate or unlawful behaviour may result in immediate removal from the Event without refund and action by NZ Police.
Grit Motorsport Ltd reserves the right to make this determination.
I accept responsibility for any damage I may cause to Grit Motorsport Ltd or Pukekohe Park Raceway property, including but not limited to the use of spill kits, fire extinguishers, grass damage, or cleanup of rubbish/tyres.
If for some reason there is a tow truck recovery required I agree I will cover the cost of $450 to have my car retrieved.
I acknowledge that motorsport is inherently dangerous, and participation carries a risk of serious injury, disability, or death.
I participate entirely at my own risk. I will not hold any Released Party liable for damage, injury, or death caused by vehicle failure, track condition, or any other reason.
In consideration of being allowed to attend or participate, I release, indemnify, and hold harmless each of the Released Parties from any and all claims (including third-party claims), losses, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to my participation, even if caused by their negligence.
These provisions are enforceable under the Contracts (Privity) Act 1982. If any part is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
I certify that I have read the D1NZ rules and that my vehicle and personal protective gear meet all technical standards. I will brief my passengers (if any) on vehicle safety features and emergency procedures.
