  • The scholarship program supports San Pablo residents pursuing a post‑secondary career/trade or college education. Please review the eligibility requirements at SanPabloCA.gov/Scholarship before beginning your application.

    To complete your application, ensure you have all required items listed in the “Application Checklist” ready to upload. 

    In the application form, you may paste your short essay responses in Section Two and upload proof of residence in Section Three.

    If you have trouble submitting the application form, please contact the Community Services Team at SPScholarship@sanpabloca.gov or 510‑215‑3080, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM.

  • Application Check List:

    • Complete and Submit the Scholarship Application by March 31st, 2026, by 5:00pm
    • As part of the application, tell us about your goals and plans for the future. Your responses will not be used to determine whether you receive the award. The questions are meant to provide the Selection Committee with a snap shot about your post-secondary plans and understand how the Scholarship Funds will be used to support your plans.

    Answer the short essay questions below:

    1. What are your academic and career Goals? (Maximum 350 words)
    2. What steps have you taken to achieve those goals? (Maximum 350 words)
    3. How will you this scholarship help you achieve your goals? How will you use this scholarship? (Maximum 300 words)
    4. Is there anything else you would like to add? (Maximum 100 words)

    To Apply:

    1. Provide Proof of Residence: 

    Please provide proof of San Pablo Incorporated resident by submitting a picture or file that includes your name and address or your guardian's name with address (if they reside with you) click here to verify your address or call the San Pablo Community Center during office hours. 

    Proof of Residence Examples:

    • Identification Card or Driver’s License
    • PG&E Bill in your name or your guardian's name who resides with you

    2. Provide an Enrollment Verification in a nonprofit Career Taining Program. 

    • Proof of Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) includes a receipt for your deposit, a screenshot showing your name and university name and term of enrollment; (College Students)
    • Alternatively, current undergraduate students may provide an invoice or bill for enrollment fees for the 2026 fall semester OR a schedule of their classes with name and school year visible for the fall of 2026. (College Students)

    3. Provide Proof of FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application, if planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college/university

    Alternatively, students may provide a copy of their parent’s / main caregiver’s identification with current address and PG&E bill to provide proof of residence.

  • 2.) Proof of College, University, or Career Training Program Enrollment Fall 2026:

    Proof of Enrollment or a Statement of Intent to Register (College Students)

    • Proof of Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) includes a receipt for your deposit, a screenshot showing your name and university name and term of enrollment;
    • Alternatively, current undergraduate students may provide an invoice or bill for enrollment fees for the 2026 fall semester OR a schedule of their classes for the fall of 2026.

    Provide an Enrollment Verification in a career training program. 

    • Enrollment email or receipt of enrollment fees
    • Message from the Career/Technical Program that confirms that you are enrolled for training.

  • 3.) Proof of Financial Aid Application

    Not required to complete this application. However, if you are awarded the scholarship, you will be required to provide your FAFSA/CADAA.

    If this requirement changes, we will be in touch with you.

    If attending planning to attend or currently attending college, provide proof of FAFSA or CA Dream Act funding application. Applicants who are college students must submit a copy of the FAFSA Submission Summary or Proof of CA Dream Act Application submission. This does not apply for students who are applying for a career technical/trade scholarship.
