  • The scholarship program will support residents of San Pablo who are pursuing career/trade education or college education post-high school graduation. To confirm your continued eligibility, please visit the scholarship website to review the eligibility requirements before you start. SanPabloCA.gov/scholarship

    Scholarship renewals will be considered depending on several factors including continued availability of funds after selection of first time applicants. If there are less first time scholarship applicants, there could potentially be funds available for returning San Pablo Scholars who meet all the application requirements by the due date.

    To Apply:

    In order to complete your application for the renewal scholarship, please provide all of the required items on the check list below under "Application Check List". Be sure to have all your information and files ready to submit prior to starting this application form.

    Once you start your application form, you will be able to copy and paste your short essay responses into the application in Section Three. You will also be prompted to upload your proof of residence and financial aid application in Section Four.

  • Application Check List:

    • Complete and Submit the Scholarship Application by March 31st, 2026, by 5:00 pm
    • As part of the application, tell us about your goals and plans for the future.  Your responses will not be used to determine whether you receive the award. The questions are meant to provide the Selection Committee with an updated snapshot your post-secondary plans and understand how you will continue to use the Scholarship Funds to support your plans.

    Answer the short essay questions below:

    1. How have your goals evolved since you first applied? Please share a brief update with us. (Maximum 350 words)
    2. What is one highlight from the past academic year that you are proud of? (Maximum 350 words)
    3. How did you use the San Pablo Scholarship? (Maximum 200 words)
      What expenses would a renewal of the San Pablo Scholarship help you with in the next year? (Maximum 100 words)

    Provide Proof of Enrollment in a College, University, or Career Trianing Program for the 2026-27 school year.

    Provide Proof of Residence: Please provide proof of residence by submitting a picture or file that includes your name and address or your guardian's name with address (if they reside with you)

    Provide Proof of FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application for 2026-27 school year, if enrolling in college or university. Not required if you're going to a trade school.

    Proof of Enrollment Examples:

    • Provide an Enrollment Verification in a nonprofit Career/Technical Program. (Career or Technical Education Students) Example: A screenshot showing your name and program name with date of enrollment; a receipt for enrollment
    • Proof of Enrollment in Fall Courses Example: a receipt for your Fall tuition, a screenshot showing your name and University name and term of enrollment; (College Students)

    Proof of Residence Examples:

    • Identification Card or Driver’s License
    • PG&E Bill in your name or your guardian's name who resides in San Pablo

    Provide Proof of FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application for 2026-27, if planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college/university

    If attending planning to attend or currently attending college, provide proof of FAFSA or CA Dream Act funding application. Applicants who are college students must submit a copy of the FAFSA Submission Summary or Proof of CA Dream Act Application submission. This does not apply for students who are applying for a career training program scholarship.
