Missionary Care Providers Review

The purpose of this review is twofold:
• to ensure that the care you are providing to our missionary or staff member is effective

• to determine if additional care and support is need for the missionary or staff member

• to determine whether or not you are confident that this missionary or staff member should continue to work with Steiger.

We don't expect you to tell us personal information from your conversations with this person. However we are expecting to be informed when things are not going so well, so we can do something about it.

Your responses will not be given to the missionary or staff member, however if you reveal any personal or specific information about the person, you need their permission to do so first.

This review will be seen by the Missionary's/Staff member's Leader, possibly by their Regional Leader (if necessary) and their the Regional Care Coordinator. If significant or concerning things are raised in this review the International Care Manager may also see this review.

As part of this Review, please go to this document which has our "Expectations of Steiger's Pastoral Carers" . Please read it and, if you have not aready signed it, please do so.

Expectations of Steiger's Missionary Care Providers

Once you have submitted this, a copy will be sent to your email.

Some examples of things their Leader might need to know about are if the missionary/staff member has:

• serious issues in their marriage, relationships or with parenting;
• issues or conflict with their direct Steiger Leader, or with any other Leader in Steiger that you feel might need intervention to be resolved;
• any issues with drugs or alcohol;
• intentionally and regularly looked at pornography;
• been diagnosed with a mental health condition;
• been diagnosed with a chronic medical condition/disease;
• experienced prolonged Exhaustion/Fatigue in ministry;
• been investigated for criminal activity;
• or really been struggling in their faith.

Please make sure you let the missionary know you are disclosing this information to us and ask their permission to do so.

** Note:  We regard a "serious" matter as significant matters of purity, immorality, fraud, mental stability, psychological health, serious physical health concerns, significant ongoing unresolved conflicts, serious matters of their security, etc. You can read the Steiger Covenant that all missionaries sign by clicking here  .
