A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE FOR BOOKING

with Erin Vaughn Tattoo Artist

Thank you so much for your interest in working with me.

I have been tattooing since 2006, so rest assured you are in great hands!

I know that booking with a tattoo artist can sometimes feel overwhelming-there can be a lot of unknowns, and the process might seem intimidating.

My goal with this guide is to make this process as clear and straightforward as possible.

This guide outlines my booking process step-by-step, so you'll know exactly what to expect when working with me.

STEP ONE: Determine If We're a Good Match

Before booking, take a look at my tattoo photos on Instagram/Facebook/TikTok.

If my work speaks to you, that's a great sign! I am a versatile artist and can work in many styles.

If you have general questions before deciding to work with me, feel free to reach out. I will have links to my social media on the next page. Simply send me a message or DM.

STEP TWO: Review My Policies & Pricing

The next two slides contain important information on the following:

-Pricing

Please take the time to read these documents. If my business policies align with your expectations, you're ready for the next step!

STEP THREE: Submit an Appointment Request Form

The fun part begins! Fill out the Appointment Request Form. A booking link will be provided at the end of this Guide.

Please take your time filling this form out. Be sure your descriptions are not rushed. Double-check that your contact information is accurate.

Once submitted, your request is in motion!

STEP FOUR: PAY YOUR DEPOSIT 

On the Friday FOLLOWING your Appointment Request Form submission, you will receive an EMAIL with an invoice for your $100 deposit.

This typically arrives between 9-11 AM from SQUARE. You have will have 7 days to pay the deposit. You can also request for the invoice to deliver on a certain date in the future on the Appointment request form. Many of my clients will set it to arrive on their particular payday, for example.

Please be on the lookout for the invoice and check your spam if it does not arrive as expected.

If you find that you need more time to pay the deposit than the standard 7 days, simply reach out. I'm happy to accommodate! I will simply adjust the due date.

 

STEP FIVE: Scheduling & Confirmation

Once your deposit is received, my scheduling assistant will reach out from this email within 24 hours (except on weekends-see note below):

They will offer:

-Acknowledgment of your deposit
-Available dates for a consultation (if needed)
-Available dates for tattoo appointment(s)

Please respond to the email within 48 hours.

Note: my assistant is not a full time employee. If your deposit is made after 6pm on Friday, expect the email described above to arrive the following Monday as they are not paid to work on the weekends.

 

STEP SIX: FINAL CONFIRMATION

Once we agree on your consultation/appointment date(s), you'll receive a confirmation through my scheduling software (Vagaro).

You will be sent a reminder for your appointment via text/email one week before your appointment. Please confirm the appointment. You will also receive another reminder 3 days prior to your appointment.

 

STEP SEVEN: YOU ARE OFFICIALLY BOOKED

If you make it this far, thank you so much for choosing me. I really look forward to meeting you and making something special for you. 

Just a few more slides left that will explain a few things about the consultation and tattoo appointment days.

Step Eight: IN PERSON CONSULTATION

A face to face consultation is very important to creative process. This will be a 30 to 45 minute meeting where will:

-meet each other

-discuss your tattoo goals

-discuss your budget/session pricing/estimate of total cost of your tattoo

-discuss tattoo aftercare

-discuss how to prepare for your tattoo

-have the opportunity for you to ask any questions 

I will also take pictures of the area to be tattooed. It is highly likely that I will rough sketch on you with markers to plan the size and layout of the tattoo. Please come dressed so that I will have access to the skin in the area you want to be tattooed. 

My goal for each consultation is that we both feel like we are on the same page so that when I draw your artwork, I understand fully your expectations.

 

STEP NINE: TATTOO DAY

The day is finally here! 

Please show up on time for your appointment. Be well rested, well hydrated, well fed, and properly dressed for the area to be tattooed. 

You will see your artwork at your appointment. If you want to request minor changes, feel comfortable to speak up at this time. I only schedule 1 to 2 clients a day, so we will never be in a rush. I want you to be 100% satisfied. 

After we finish the session you will pay your session balance. I take the following payment types:

-Cash (most preferred)

-Card 

-Venmo

-Cash App

-Apple Cash
