Jaywalkers Event Rules & Regulations

Booth Spaces
- All vendors must provide proof of valid and current minimum $2 million liability insurance.
- All food vendors must meet all required standards and submit all necessary documents to both the Camrose Fire Department and Alberta Health Services (AHS) before being approved to attend the event. Failure to comply will result in denial of vendor status or removal from the event.
- All beverage and personal services vendors must meet all required standards and submit all necessary documents to AHS before being approved to attend the event. Failure to comply will result in denial of vendor status or removal from the event.
- Vendors must ensure that all structures and accompanying items remain within their designated vendor space.
- Generator use must be pre-approved. The Camrose Fire Department reserves the right to shut down or remove any generator that does not pass inspection. Only generators that meet noise regulations are permitted. No fuel storage is allowed on-site.
- Power is not included. We cannot guarantee access to or supply of power from source towers along the street.
- Extension cords are not permitted on walkways and streets unless protected from being a tripping hazard..
- Booth locations are assigned at the discretion of the Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce. While requests will be considered, placement is not guaranteed.
- Vendors featuring live entertainment must notify the organizers at the time of registration.
- Music played within vendor booths must be kept at a reasonable volume and must be family-friendly.
- Vendors must set up and at minimum, operate their booths during all official Jaywalkers retail hours (Friday & Saturday 10am - 8pm, Sunday 11am - 6pm). Failure to do so may result in denial of vendor status for the following year, and will cause your event deposit to be forfeited.
- Security will be in place from move-in to move-out for the safety of vendors and attendees.
- All tents and structures need to be appropriately secured (weighted) to protect from wind.
- Any outstanding amounts with the Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce must be paid in advance to registration, no exceptions.
- Only the registrant is authroized to use their vendor space, and cannot purchase for anyone else. If a vendor is including another business or organization to be a part of their rented space during the event at any time, this must be cleared with the Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce prior to the event, or they will be asked to leave. Should they fail to do so, this could result in the vendor being banned from the event going forward.
- If you fail to completely clean your assigned vendor space upon leaving, you will forfeit your cleaning deposit.
- All vendors are responsible for furnishing thier space with a garbage receptical, and must keep it in a tidy manner throughout the event, and empty it when full, as well as nightly.
- Please note that a $150 event deposit and a $100 cleaning deposit will be added to your total, for a combined deposit of $250. This deposit will be fully refunded within 15 business days, provided that your vendor space is left clean and you remain open & on-site for the full duration of the event retail hours.
Fees
- Vendor space is not secured until full payment has been received.
- No refunds will be issued once payment has been received unless approved by the Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce.
Move-In
Thursday, June 4th | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- No loading vehicles are permitted to stay overnight.
- Each vendor may bring one vehicle into the setup area but must remove it immediately after unloading to allow space for other vendors. You may not block access to another vendors space at any time. If you are asked to move by Camrose & District Chamber staff or volunteers, or the Camrose Fire Department, you will do so immediately. No exceptions.
During the event, no vehicles will be allowed within the venue during operating times except for emergency vehicles. NO EXCEPTIONS. Vendor access will be available in the early morning BEFORE the grounds open, but you must be off the grounds 1 hour prior to opening each day. This also is only for the purposes of restocking, and not for any other purpose.
Move-Out
Sunday, June 7th, after 6:00 PM (or as directed by the committee)
- To ensure the safety of Jaywalkers attendees and vendors, booths must not be dismantled, and vehicles will not be permitted for display removal until this time.
