By filling out this application, you are submitting your artwork to be displayed in the Saskatchewan Craft Council booth at Art Now 2026. Craftspeople, artists, and makers are not required to attend, since set up, staffing, and sales will be handled by SCC staff.
Artwork Selection Process
- Artwork will be selected by SCC staff. Selections are based on many factors, including the variety of media submitted, booth space, staff capacity, and ease of installation.
- Multiple pieces may be selected from each artist or craftsperson.
- Preference will be given to recently created works and to works not previously shown at Art Now.
- While the SCC may include at least 1 piece from your application, we reserve the right to select work that is most appropriate for the event.
- Makers are expected not to submit works that are also being considered for events taking place at the same time as Art Now.
- Artists will be notified of application results by mid-July 2026.
Application Parameters
- Applicants must be juried Professional Craftsperson or Affiliated Member, members of the SCC in good standing when submitting this application.
- All submitted pieces must be for sale.
- Each artist can submit up to five works for consideration. (Sets and multiples are considered one submission.)
- Art Now is a sales event, not an exhibition. As such, artist royalties will not be paid.
- All sales will be managed and processed by the SCC, with the SCC retaining a commission of 40%. Payments to artists will be made via RBC PayEdge within 60 days of the sale.
- Works accepted must be ready to install with clear hanging/display instructions and packaged appropriately for sale. This means your work must be packed safely in clean packing material that purchasers may take home.
- The SCC will provide installation, insurance, and promotions.
- Further details will be described in a project contract that will be sent to selected Art Now participants.
