How this form works
1. The Assessor is to fill out this assessment; they will receive a jotform email giving them EDIT ACCESS for further checks, if the pilot needs more practice;
2. If the Pilot needs more practice for a rating, the Assessor will edit the same form, Click also on PASS if this assessment is a PASS, scroll down to Continued Competency Check and complete this section;
3. The Assessor, the Pilot being assessed, and Admin will automatically receive a PDF copy of this form.
This form is a controlled document, managed by the NZHGPA, under the delegation of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Important Information
1. This form is to be used where Pilot Currency has LAPSED and they seek to regain currency;
2. The Assessor fills out this form;
3. The Assessor is to check the current NZHGPA OPM for the assessor requirements for the rating being applied for;
4. Pilot Certificates are not effective until applications are processed by the NZHGPA, and a rating card is supplied to the Pilot;
5. FULL MEMBERSHIP to the NZHGPA is required for issuance of ANY Pilot ratings in NZ;
6. Initial Checks: Refer to OPM 6.2.1
  1. Solo Competency Assessments can be conducted by an NZHGPA Approved PG3 or HG Advanced Certified Pilots;
  2. Tandem Assessments must be conducted by either a Tandem rated Instructor or Tandem Commercial Flight Examiner;
  3. The Training Manager may appoint a suitable assessor for all other ratings;
