2026 Los Angeles County Democratic Party Supplemental Questionnaire

TO ENSURE FULL CONSIDERATION OF YOUR QUESTIONNAIRE, PLEASE HAVE YOUR PAPERWORK IN BY WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 2026 AT 5PM. FILING AFTER WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 2026 , BY 5PM MAY ENDANGER YOUR CONSIDERATION FOR ENDORSEMENT.

All candidates who seek the endorsement of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party must complete the LACDP Application for Consideration of Endorsement and pay the appropriate administrative filing fee.

In addition, all candidates running for one of the offices under the jurisdiction of the LACDP Candidate Interview Committee must complete the Supplemental Questionnaire which can be found below.

Candidates who must complete the Supplemental Questionnaire include those running for:
- Los Angeles County Offices
- Los Angeles Citywide Office
- Los Angeles City Council
- Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees
- Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education
- Any local offices that overlap more than four (4) Assembly Districts or certain Water Boards/Replenishment Districts
Please answer the questions below pertaining to the office you are seeking and sign the last page. Please submit this supplemental candidate questionnaire IN ADDITION to the LACDP Application for Consideration of Endorsement and Candidate Questionnaire.

After submitting this form, please pay the appropriate fee via Actblue or by mailing a check.

$75 for races outside the City of Los Angeles

$150 for the following races: Los Angeles Countywide, City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees, Los Angeles Unified School District Board, certain Water Boards/ Replenishment Districts, and offices that overlap more than 4 Assembly Districts.

7. What steps would you propose to address the homelessness crisis in the City of Los Angeles? Please be specific.

9. What is your position on guaranteeing Project Labor Agreements for all construction projects in the City of Los Angeles?
10. Do you feel the licensing of dispensaries, grows and extractions facilities is fair and equitable? Are there enough or too many dispensaries? What would you change?
11. What is your position on filming in Los Angeles? Do you favor any protections for residents regarding filming?
12. What would you do to improve housing affordability, for renters while creating opportunities for people to become homeowners?
13. How can the City work collaboratively to solve the City's most pressing issues? From your perspective, what are those issues?
LOS ANGELES COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEE CANDIDATES:
1. What exactly is the purpose of the LACCD Board of Trustees and how does this Board function?
2. What do you consider the major issues facing the LA Community College District today, and how do you plan to improve the district if elected?
3. What do you propose LACCD do to protect its students from the overreaching agenda of the current Republican Presidential administration?
4. With so many struggling students, should LACC build student housing at each campus?
5. What are your thoughts on LACCD's shared governance structure?
6. If LACCD has a significant budget shortfall. How would you balance the budget?
7. Do you support the expansion of BA and BS degrees being granted by LACCD? Please explain your position.
8. How would you increase career and technical pathways for students who are not seeking a degree?

LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATES
1. What do you consider the major issues facing LAUSD today?
2. What is your plan to improve the school system if elected?
3. Do you support teacher tenure?
4. Do you support funding nurses full time at every campus? Librarians?
5. Do you support the expansion of charter schools in LAUSD?
6. Do you believe charter schools should abide by the same "admission standards" as all public schools?
7. If LAUSD has a significant budget shortfall. How would you balance the budget?
8. How do you or plan to include parent voices in your decision making as it pertains to addressing policy changes, public safety, and student wellness?
9. Given the current political climate, what will you do or have you done to address the mental health issues students are facing?
10. What are your plans for students that choose not to pursue college after high school?
11. What are your plans to improve Special Education and the inclusion of special education students in schools?
