• 2026 SHPE National Convention Volunteer Application

  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2026 SHPE National Convention! Volunteers play a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for our attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, and guests. 

    This application is for:

    • Attendee Volunteers
    • Volunteer-Only Participants
    • Sponsor Volunteers (including representatives volunteering on behalf of a sponsoring organization)

    Volunteer applications will be accepted through Septebmer 11, 2026.

    Submitting an application does not guarantee a volunteer assignment. Volunteer assignments are based on event needs, availability, and the number of applications received. Selected volunteers will receive additional information and next steps prior to the event. 

     

    Before You Begin

    • Complete all required questions. 
    • The application takes approximately 5-10 minutes. 
    • If selected, you'll receive additional information before the event. 

     

    Volunteer Recognition

    If selected, Attendee Volunteers and Volunteer-Only Participants who successfully complete their required volunteer commitment may be eligible for a 50% registration discount for an applicable National Convention, in accordance with the volunteer program guidelines shared with selected volunteers. 

    If you have already registered and paid for the 2026 SHPE National Convention at the time you are selected, the 50% registration discount will be designated for the 2027 SHPE National Convention upon successful completion of all required volunteer shifts. Refunds or partial refunds will not be issued for 2026 registration fees already paid.

    Sponsor and Exhibitor Volunteers will receive documentation verifying their completed volunteer hours. This documentation may be submitted to their employer for applicable volunteer matching or volunteer grant programs. 

     

    Volunteer Badge

    Convention registration is not required to apply or be selected as a volunteer. If selected, individuals who are not otherwise registered for the National Convention will receive instructions to complete a volunteer-only registration. This registration must be completed before the event so SHPE can collect the required information and issue a Volunteer Badge.

    The Volunteer Badge provides access only to assigned volunteer areas and scheduled shifts. It does not provide access to workshops, competitions, the STEM and Career Fair, or other Convention programming.
