What is Day Camp?
- A condensed camp experience lasting two or more consecutive days with at least three hours of programming each day.
- Girls attending must be entering Kindergarten or older and must be registered members of Girl Scouts.
- Occasionally, a Day Camp may offer an overnight experience for Brownies and older.
The information on this form will be used to allow the staff at the Girl Scout Council office to better serve Day Camp Directors.

This form for is for Troop, Service Unit and Volunteer-run camps.
GSMW will use the information you provide for emergency purposes.

A tag-a-long is anyone that is not registered in the day camp that is “tagging along”. If day camp volunteers bring children that are not Girl Scouts to day camp, the day camp director must provide a tag-a-long unit. The day camp director must budget for and purchase additional insurance for the entire camp and the number of tag-a-longs. Safety and supervision of girls at day camp is of the utmost importance and volunteers need to ensure their full attention is given to the registered Girl Scouts. The tag unit must have its own staff who will provide activities and meals for the tag-a-longs. The tag unit will eat and engage in activities in separate areas away from the Girl Scout activities. Day camp directors are responsible for adjusting the day camp budget to accommodate for tag-a-longs. GSMW recommends that boys over the age of eight are not allowed as tag-a-longs.

As the Day Camp Director, you are expected to ensure pre-camp information is submitted to GSMW in a timely manner.
- Troop/Group Sponsorship Form (if seeking financial and in-kind sponsorship). Once GSMW approves your sponsorship request, share the Day Camp Sponsorship Agreement with your sponsor.
- Additional Insurance Request Form (submitted no later than two weeks before camp, if applicable, to cover Tag-a-Longs and other camp visitors who are not eligible for membership)
