I understand that the group will need to also agree to and complete the Property Use Agreement, submit a Certificate of Insurance naming Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways as additional insured, and agree to use the property appropriately.
It is understood and agreed to by both parties that the group will abide by any and all of the camp operating and/or program rules and guidelines as outlined in the “Property Use Agreement” and Confirmation packet that will be provided.
It is further agreed and understood that failure to comply will result in a termination of this agreement and require the Lessee, its participants, employees, agents and contractors to vacate the camp, forfeiting any and all fees agreed to herein.
Terms and Conditions:
- I certify that all camping plans are in accordance with the recommendations in the current edition of Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Check Points. The Girl Scout Promise and Law will be the guide for conduct of each individual.
- I understand that my group is responsible for any damage or loss of any equipment (including but not limited to archery equipment, winter equipment, sports equipment, cookware, unit boxes, ice cream makers, cast iron items, boats, etc.). If damage or loss occurs during my stay, I will be billed for the fee to replace the item.
- I understand that my group is responsible for reading and adhering to the rules provided in the Confirmation Packet (will be emailed to you when confirming your reservation).
- SAFETY - In the event of a weather-related emergency, the camp’s main lodge is the primary location to seek shelter during a storm (thunder/lightning), depending on severity. In the event of a mild/moderate storm, groups are advised to stay put in their cabins/tents/pavilions if already near or under cover.
- LEAVE NO TRACE: I understand that my group is responsible for cleaning all facilities used (including shower houses, if applicable) and disposal of all trash (into dumpsters) prior to leaving the facility. There is a Property Clean-Up list provided in my Confirmation Packet.
- I will also be responsible for completing a Property Use Report at the end of my stay, which will include checking off the Property Clean-Up list items.
- NO GRAFFITI & DAMAGE: Any damage caused to facilities or property by negligence or malicious wrong doing shall be paid for by the party responsible for the damage. Participants are not to deface walls, floors, etc., of buildings, tents, or other structures. Aerosol sprays and pin pricks cause serious damage and will be treated as such. Those responsible for damage will be required to pay for restoration or replacement of the items. Group Leaders are asked to inspect facility areas before departure and clean any sign of graffiti.
- Necessary cleaning/repairs will be billed at a rate of $50 per hour. You may also forfeit your security deposit for any cleaning, painting over graffiti or repairs.
