If you have a preferred individual you would like assigned to this course and they are not already a contracted Academic Coach with Instructional Connections, you will be responsible for providing them with the Faculty Referred Academic Coach Application: https://form.jotform.com/ICForms/faculty-referred-coach
Please note that this link is not publicly posted or available on the Instructional Connections website and is separate from our general application. You are responsible for sharing this unique URL directly with the individual you are referring for consideration.
Your preferred individual must complete this Faculty Referred Academic Coach Application, all required screening activities, and all onboarding processes necessary to become a contracted Academic Coach with Instructional Connections in order to be eligible for assignment to any upcoming course.
Submission of the faculty referral application does not bypass any required vetting or screening processes. Completion and successful passing of a Pre‑Employment Screening session is required. These facilitated virtual interview sessions must be completed within the scheduled one‑week period. Candidates must complete all 12 assignments and earn a passing score of 85% or higher to be considered for advancement. Virtual interview sessions are offered twice per month, always beginning on a Monday and concluding on Sunday.
The onboarding time frame for a new Academic Coach is approximately 3–6 weeks, from application to being contracted and available for course assignment. This timeline depends on the virtual interview schedule, the candidate’s active and timely participation in the required week‑long session, successful completion of the criminal background check, and submission of all required New Hire Documentation, including official transcripts for all degrees earned as listed in their application and résumé.
Individuals already contracted with Instructional Connections as Academic Coaches do NOT need to reapply.
PLEASE NOTE: All individuals working with Instructional Connections must hold current and valid U.S. work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa documentation or sponsorship for employment in the United States (including, but not limited to, H‑1B, F‑1/OPT, TN, or other non‑immigrant classifications). All Academic Coach roles are structured as independent contractor (1099) project‑based engagements; therefore, the availability of any course assignments or weekly hours is not guaranteed, which may not satisfy documentation requirements associated with certain visas or work authorizations.
