IMPORTANT: Please read before completing this Faculty Referred Academic Coach Application.
This application is only for individuals who have been specifically referred by a faculty member at one of Instructional Connections’ partner universities for an upcoming online course. You will be required to provide full details for the referring faculty member.
If you were not referred by a faculty member for a specific course, please complete the general application instead:https://form.jotform.com/ICForms/AcademicCoachApplication2023
Referrals from IC employees, coaches, friends, or any non‑faculty sources do not qualify for this application. Please review the job posting and minimum requirements before completing the general application.
All faculty referrals are verified with the listed faculty member, program chair, or university leadership. Applications that cannot be verified will be voided and removed from consideration.
If you are already a contracted and active Academic Coach, do NOT reapply. Please contact your Lead Coach.
Please review the detailed job posting for additional information about the Academic Coach role.
Note: Most programs supported by Instructional Connections are graduate‑level courses designed for adult working professionals and offered in fully online, accelerated 5–9‑week formats year-round.
Here are a few tips for completing this application:
- It is recommended that you complete this job application on a desktop or laptop rather than a phone, since you will need to upload documents.
- All fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required, including selecting a prefix such as Mr., Mrs., or Ms. in the Full Name section, or you will not be able to move forward to the next page.
- If a required field does not apply, please enter “N/A.” This option should be used only when the information is genuinely not applicable and not as a means to bypass required sections. As the application is part of the screening process, the accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail demonstrated will be carefully reviewed and considered.
- Pay attention to the requested formatting when completing any of the "Date" fields. For example, some fields may request only Month (MM) and Year (YY or YYYY).
- When selecting areas of qualification (max of 3), only your graduate-level education (Master’s, post-master’s, or doctoral/terminal degrees) will be considered. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 18 graduate-level credit hours in the selected area(s). Perceived qualifications or experience without the required graduate-level coursework do not meet this standard. Undergraduate coursework does not satisfy this requirement and should not be included when selecting areas of qualification.
- To complete your application, you must upload all required documents at the end of this job application. Preferred file formats include Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) and Portable Document Format (.pdf). File names must not contain non-printable ASCII characters, forward or backward slashes (/ or ), trailing spaces, or restricted names such as “.” or “..”.
- Professional Cover Letter (Not a Teaching Statement or Philosophy)
- A Thorough & Professional Resume or Curriculum Vitae
- Unofficial Transcripts - for graduate degree(s). Be aware, Official Transcripts for ALL DEGREES EARNED will be required later if selected to advance to the screening process.
- If you encounter any issues completing this application, please email HR@iconnect-na.com with details and screenshots of the specific error/issue you are experiencing.
- Emailing a resume or other documents is not an acceptable alternative to completing this application. No individual or resume will be reviewed or considered without completing and submitting this application.
Work Authorization
The Academic Coach position is fully virtual and does not require residence in any specific city or state. However, Instructional Connections is an exclusively U.S.–based company, and all services are performed within the United States. As a result, we cannot consider or hire applicants who are not U.S. citizens or who do not hold current, valid work authorization issued by USCIS.
All applicants must have current, valid U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship, employer documentation, or employer oversight for work eligibility from Instructional Connections. This includes, but is not limited to, non‑immigrant categories such as H‑1B, F‑1/OPT, CPT, TN, or any other status requiring employer sponsorship or compliance support. Because the Academic Coach position is an independent‑contractor (NEC‑1099) role, Instructional Connections cannot provide visa sponsorship, supporting documentation, supervision, or any employer‑based authorization required for certain visa types — including those sponsored by a university.
If you hold F‑1 OPT, CPT, or any other visa work authorization connected to an educational institution, please consult your Designated School Official (DSO) with questions regarding your visa status, reporting requirements, or compliance obligations. Instructional Connections cannot provide guidance, documentation, supervision, or support related to OPT or any other visa type due to the independent‑contractor nature of this position.
