    Please note that an Academic Coach Request should be submitted a minimum of 4-6 weeks prior to a course start date; ideally 6-8 weeks is preferred. ** Request submitted within 5 days, on or after the course start date may not be able to be fulfilled. ** Submitting an Academic Coach request does not bind the university to using an Academic Coach if the enrollments numbers to not reach the threshold established by the university or if the course is cancelled.

    The individual that will be approving the Academic Coach(es) to be assigned to the course and/or will be the Faculty of Record for the course.
  • Course Information:

    One course and start date should be listed per form submission. Separate submissions will be required for other course start dates of the same course. ** Request submitted within 5 days, on or after the course start date may not be able to be fulfilled. **
  • The course/s must meet the enrollment requirements below, as well as training.

    • Traditional Undergrad Courses: 60 enrolled, 75 minimum cap
    • Traditional Grad Courses: 45 enrolled
    • Accelerated Courses: No enrollment size required

  • If you have a preferred person you wish to have assigned to this course and they are not already a contracted Academic Assistant/Coach for IC, please make sure to have them submit an application through the "Faculty Referral Application" -  https://form.jotform.com/ICForms/faculty-referred-coach 

    Please note this link is not publicly posted or available on IC's website, and you will be responsible for providing the link to the individual you are referring to complete our application, screening, and onboarding process required to be assigned as an AA to an upcoming course.

    The onboarding time frame for a new Academic Coach is approx. 3-6 weeks and completely dependent on the candidate's active and timely participation in the required screening session, passing of a background check, and submission of New Hire Documentation and all official transcripts.  Successful completion and passing of a Pre-Employment Screening session are REQUIRED.  The Pre-Employment Screening session is a virtual interview that is only offered twice monthly. The sessions are self-paced, facilitated, and graded over one week. A minimum score of 85% or greater is required to be considered for advancement in the process.  The virtual interview sessions are only offered twice a month.

    Individuals already contacted and employed by Instructional Connections as an Academic Assistant/Coach with Instructional Connections do NOT need to reapply.
