  • Hello! Welcome to the Volunteer Form for recording Covid-19 information.

    • You may sign up here to record the Covid-19 Information for Patients, based on the Washington State DSHS Information in different languages.
    • You need to have a headset and a laptop to record.
    • You may also a smartphone by going to this page on your phone.

    • There is no fee paid to volunteers. You may specify if you would like your name and picture posted along with your audio.
    • The email address will not be posted.
    • The recording will be shared at the Culture Advantage website free for anyone on the Internet and for educational purposes.
    • It is a public service for people who speak these languages.

     

    You will record for 3 to 4 minutes only. 

    We will review the recording and if your recording is accepted, it will be posted at the Culture Advantage Public Service Webpage and may be used for educational purposes or training.

    Volunteers who would like to take the Coronavirus Test, please request the course and the test and you would be able to download your certificate of completion, at no charge.

  • Instructions for recording:

    1. Use a headset with your laptop.

    2. First, practice recording and then listen to your recording.

    3. Click RECORD to record.

    4. Click STOP after recording. You will see the word SAVED after you click STOP.

    5. Click PLAY to listen to your recording.

    Please make sure that your recording is clear and without errors. You may re-record until you have the best recording.

    6. If you are satisfied with your recording, click STOP, then scroll to the end of the page, click SUBMIT.

    That's all! It is very simple and you are going to be providing important public service to people who speak your language!

    Click here to go to the DSHS website and choose the language that you wish to record. You may use these files as reference for recording. Note: Not all languages are included so it is very important for interpreters who speak languages that are not included on this list to record the information in the non-English language.
