Thank you for taking the time to complete the 2023 Outdoor Events Umpire Expression of Interest Form.

Please note that this form is simply for Umpires to submit your expression of interest to umpire at the JCC, SCC and/or the JSC. Once expressions of interest close Hockey Victoria (in conjunction with HV Officiating Committee) will allocate umpires to panels for each event.

Expressions of interest for the JCC & SCC will close at 5.00pm on Friday 14th April and Hockey Victoria will endeavour to inform all successful candidates of their appointments within a fortnight.

Expressions of interest for the JSC will close at 5.00pm on Monday 15th May and Hockey Victoria will endeavour to inform all successful candidates of their appointments within a fortnight.

Grassports Junior Country Championships
The 2023 Grassports Junior Country Championships will run on the weekend of Saturday 20th May & Sunday 21st May. The venues will be as follows:
- Under 13 Boys & Girls - Essendon Hockey Centre
- Under 15 Boys & Girls - Greensborough Hockey Centre
- Under 18 Boys & Girls - Melbourne Sports Centres Parkville
All Umpires officiating at the JCC will receive coaching across the course of the weekend and a payment of $15 per match they umpire (noting matches are shortened in length).

Grassports Senior Country Championships
The 2023 Grassports Senior Country Championships will run from Saturday 10th June to Monday 12th June. The venues will be as follows:
- Open & Masters Women - Hawthrorn Malvern Hockey Centre
- Open & Masters Men - Footscray Hockey Centre
All Umpires officiating at the SCC will receive coaching across the course of the weekend. In 2023, umpires will also be paid $20 per match.

It is worth noting that the Masters divisions will be open to metropolitan teams to enter too, effectively making it a Masters State Championships. The Open divisions will remain as regional teams only.

Grassports Junior State Championships
In 2023 the Grassports Junior State Championships will have a slight change of age groups, to Under 12 (Hockey 5s), Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18.

The Event will run as follows:

Under 14 & Under 16 - 29th June to 2nd July at MSC Parkville & Footscray
Under 12 - 1st & 2nd July at either Footscray or MSC Parkville
Under 18s - EITHER Friday 22nd September OR Wednesday 27th to Friday 29th September at MSC Parkville

JSC Umpire Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 5.00pm Monday 15th May.

All umpires will receive coaching and mentoring for the duration of the Event, as well as payment of $15 per match.
