  • Zeiss Contax C/Y - Learn More

A fantastic homage to classic Hollywood - The Zeiss Contax C/Y primes feature a fully manual focus and iris movement. The EF Mount Conversion allows these full frame lenses to be used on any Canon EF Mount camera body. A wide range of primes are available as well as some zoom lenses. In general, the zoom lenses don't work as well for motion picture work.

  • Zeiss Classic ZF.2 - Learn More

One of the original Cine-Mod® lenses, the Zeiss Classic ZF.2 feature a fully manual focus and iris movement. The aperture ring features a locking mechanism that is automatically engaged at full close. When using a Classic ZF.2 lens on a modern Nikon body, the aperture must still be locked at full close, even with the de-click modification. This lock can be troublesome for operators using any motors that require a calibration run from min to max. In this case, the aperture lock can be disabled upon request at no additional charge. The EF Mount Conversion allows these full frame lenses to be used on any Canon EF Mount camera body. However, the mount conversion is passive and will not communicate metadata to or from the camera.

  • Zeiss Classic ZE - Learn More

Another fantastic option from Zeiss with a factory Canon EF mount. The Classic ZE lenses feature a fully manual focus movement but a less desireable electronic aperture. This means that the aperture can only be controlled electronically via compatible Canon EF mount cameras. There is no option to "add" a manual aperture ring to the ZE lenses.

  • Zeiss Milvus ZF.2 - Learn More

Another fantastic option from Zeiss - The Milvus ZF.2 lenses feature a fully manual focus and iris movement. The aperture ring features a locking mechanism that is automatically engaged at full close. When using a Milvus ZF.2 lens on a modern Nikon body, the aperture must still be locked at full close, even with the de-click modification. De-clicking is entirely optional on Milvus ZF.2 lenses since they come with a factory de-click option via a small "key" located in the lens mount. However, we do recommend performing our standard de-click operation as the factory movement is dry and raspy. Not great for smooth iris movements.

  • Zeiss Milvus ZE - Learn More

Another fantastic option from Zeiss with a factory Canon EF mount. The Milvus ZE lenses feature a fully manual focus movement but a less desirable electronic aperture. This means that the aperture can only be controlled electronically via compatible Canon EF mount cameras. There is no option to "add" a manual aperture ring to the ZE lenses.

  • Zeiss Otus ZF.2 - Learn More

Top-tier optics from Zeiss - The Otus ZF.2 lenses feature a fully manual focus and iris movement. The aperture ring features a locking mechanism that is automatically engaged at full close. When using an Otus ZF.2 lens on a modern Nikon body, the aperture must still be locked at full close, even with the de-click modification.

The Enhanced Focus Scale upgrade is a unique solution that brings the Zeiss Otus lenses one step closer to cinema-grade primes. It features an integrated, seamless gear and highly visible focus distance marks which make focus pulling much easier than with the factory focus scale. A new witness mark is engraved in the operator positon.

  • Zeiss Otus ZE - Learn More

Another fantastic option from Zeiss with a factory Canon EF mount. The Otus ZE lenses feature a fully manual focus movement but a less desirable electronic aperture. This means that the aperture can only be controlled electronically via compatible Canon EF mount cameras. There is no option to "add" a manual aperture ring to the ZE lenses.

  • Zeiss Loxia - Learn More

Another fantastic option from Zeiss with a factory Sony E mount. The Loxia lenses feature a fully manual focus and iris movement. This makes them ideal for ultra compact setups where every ounce matters. The Focus Gear is a compact, low-profile design to keep the lens size and weight to a minimum. We do not offer a de-clicking option for the Loxia primes.

  • Zeiss Batis - Learn More

Another fantastic option from Zeiss with a factory Sony E mount. The Batis lenses feature a fully manual focus movement but an electronic aperture movement. There is no option to de-click the Batis lenses or add a manual aperture ring. Their composite body makes them ideal for ultra compact setups where every ounce matters. The Focus Gear is a compact, low-profile design to keep the lens size and weight to a minimum.

  • Zeiss Jena - Learn More

While the Jena or "Zebra" lenses do produce fantastic images, we don't accept them for any service or modification work. Sorry... :-(

  • Canon FD - Learn More

A fantastic homage to classic Hollywood - The Canon FD primes, popular for their historic connection to the famed K35 Primes from Canon, produce fantastic images. Most of our modifcations work very well on the FD primes. However, we do not offer de-clicking or mount conversions for the FD primes at this time.

  • Canon L Series - Learn More

Possibly the most prolific line of photography lenses in history, the L Series are notorious for their image quality but less known for their mechanical build quality. Because of this, we don't usually recommend Canon L Series lenses for motion picture work. That said, we can't deny their popularity and versatility. Most L Series primes can accept our Focus Gears, but keep in mind that any calibration can be quickly lost due to the "fly-by-wire" focus system of most L Series lenses. An additional Zoom Gear can be added to most zooms, but not all. Additionally, their electronic aperture means they cannot be de-clicked. A manual aperture ring cannot be added to these lenses (at least not economically).

  • Leica R - Learn More

A fantastic homage to classic Hollywood - The Leica R primes share their heritage with some of the most desirable optics in Hollywood. A fully manual focus and iris movement as well as relatively solid build quality make the Leica R lenses among the most popular Cine-Mod® candidates. The EF Mount Conversion allows these full frame lenses to be used on any Canon EF Mount camera body. A wide range of primes are available as well as some zoom lenses. Some Leica R zoom lenses work better for motion picture than others. Contact us today for recommendations.

  • Leica M - Learn More

A cornerstone of discreet, nimble photography. The Leica M lenses are fantastic photo lenses but don't make good candidates for our modifications. Many M lenses have a large finger notch on the focus ring to assist in manual focus operation. This notch makes our seamless gears much more difficult to manufacture. While we CAN make gears that accomodate M lenses with the notch, they're much more expssive. We generally advise avoiding these models for cinema work. We also do not offer aperture de-clicking for the Leica M lenses. This is primarily due to the design of the M lenses wherein nearly a complete disassembly is required to access the click mechanism. Again, it's simply not economical in most cases to perform such a modification. We also do not offer any mount conversion for the Leica M lenses due to their already ultra-shallow flange depth. If you're really eager to use Leica M lenses for cinema, we recommend the Leitz M0.8 Primes.

  • Mamiya Sekor C - Learn More

Popularized due to the influx of large format cinematography cameras, the Mamiya Sekor-C primes were designed for medium format photography which means they'll cover formats much larger than most "large format" cinema cameras. The Sekor C lenses feature fully manual controls and NO integrated shutter which makes them ideal candidates for our Cine-Mod®. The Sekor C-N version offers slightly improved image quality but also has a few plastic components which is less desirable. Our exclusive PL Mount conversion is available for the 645 mount version (NOT the RB/RZ version) and provides a stainless steel PL mount perfect for the highest quality camera pairings.

  • Minolta Rokkor - Learn More

Another classic lens line with fantastic image quality and superb build quality. The Rokkor lenses are available in a wide variety of focal lengths. Our standard modifications can be performed but we do not offer any mount conversion for the Rokkor lenses. It should also be noted that the de-clicking cost for Rokkor lenses is much higher than other lens models since it is far more complex and requires special care when performing.

  • Voigtlander Micro 4/3 - Learn More

Known for their incredibly fast f/0.95 aperture, the Micro 4/3 Mount Nokton Primes from Voigtlander are the ultimate filmmaking tool for the crop format. Their full manual operation make them ideal candidates for our Cine-Mod®. The newer Nokton models feature an integrated de-click function. However, we still offer de-clicking for the older 25mm f/0.95 Mk1 which does not have this feature built in.

  • Olympus OM - Learn More

We're still working on this section. Standby.

  • Pentax Super Takumar - Learn More

We're still working on this section. Standby.

  • Nikon AI-s - Learn More

One of the original Cine-Mod® lenses, the Nikon AI-s feature a fully manual focus and iris movement. An excellent combination of vintage optics and build quality. The Nikon AI-s lenses can accept the complete Duclos Cine-Mod®. However, it's worth noting that if de-clicked, Nikon AI-s lenses cannot be used on a Nikon camera body. The spring-loaded aperture index ring on the camera body will pull the aperture to the open position. The EF Mount Conversion allows these full frame lenses to be used on any Canon EF Mount camera body. Pre-AI lenses can still accept the Cine-Mod but require additional modification to accept the EF Mount Conversion.

  • Nikon G-Series - Learn More

Nikon's modern line of reflex lenses. The G-Series lenses feature a fully electronic iris which means they cannot be de-clicked or converted to Canon EF mount. We do offer the rest of our modificaitons for most G-Series lenses.
