Independent Grant Application
Prior to starting the application please be sure you have read through the Independent Grant Guidelines and all your supporting documents are ready for uploading.

The application may take 10-15 minutes to complete, there are short answer questions.

Applicant Eligibliity:
- Aged 18 up to 25
- Dependency Case with Orange County, CA, current NMD or aged out of care
- OR ILP Eligible
- OR an active participant with an Orangewood Foundation program
Documents needed:
- Foster Verification Letter
- A specific request WITH a flyer, receipt or invoice
Foster Verification Letter can be requested from Orange County, CA Social Services Agency. Call this number (714) 704-8000, and ask for ILP Officer of the Day. Or you can email requesting your Foster Verification Letter here: mail.ilp@ssa.ocgov.com.

Exciting news!

For the funding year July 1 2025 - June 30 2026 there are exciting new ILP Enrichment Funds available!
- Funds for use for healing, wellness and fun!
  - Ex: sports, dance lessons, music lessons, drama/art classes, trips, camps, yoga, transporation, senior activities, drivers training, etc
- Orange County foster youth in out of home care (ages 0 through 21)
- Funding is first come first serve, funds can be requested multiple times per year up until the max limit of per youth of $3,000 is reached or ALL funds have been utilized
If your request qualifies for the ILP Enrichment Funds please complete the enrichment application, not the Independent Grant.
