These groups only receive the information requested on their application, no other information is sent. Certain prerequisites may be necessary for eligibility. Application deadlines may vary.

The Darien Arts Center Ginny Wright Scholarship

The DAC awards a scholarship to a senior who will continue their study of the visual arts or design in college. It is not necessary that the student be declaring art as a major at this point, as long as he or she plans to take art courses. The award is given in memory of Virginia Wright, a talented artist, dedicated volunteer and generous benefactor.

Darien Little League Scholarship

Please follow THIS LINK to apply for the DLL Scholarship which is awarded to DLL players who continued their involvement with DLL or baseball/softball. Applications are due by March 22, 2026.

Darien Junior Football League Colman Mix Scholarship

Awarded to eligible DHS seniors who have demonstrated leadership, commitment and sportsmanship to the sport of football in the community of Darien (certain prerequisites are required).

Martin Pryor Scholarship Award

Awarded to a graduating football player who has exemplified what it is to be a great teammate, a coachable player and a good citizen. Award winners have shown selfless dedication to their team and have represented themselves, their families and the program in a positive and productive manner on and off the field. In Memory of Martin Pryor who selflessly volunteered and supported the Darien Youth and High School Football Programs for over 20 years.

DYHA Community Scholarship Awards

2026 DYHA Biggs Scholarship Application

Please follow THIS LINK for the 2026 DYHA Biggs Scholarship Application. The Biggs Award is presented to a Darien High School graduating senior who has played within the Darien Youth Hockey Association or the CT Ice Cats program, in recognition of their contributions to the program and to the sport of ice hockey.

2026 Henry L. Farmer, V Scholarship Application

Please follow THIS LINK for the 2026 Henry L. Farmer, V Scholarship Application. The Henry L. Farmer, V Scholarship Award is presented to a graduating high school senior who played for DYHA or Ice Cats as a DYHA member. This scholarship is available to students from all high schools attended by our members. This award is given in memory of Henry Farmer, DHS Class of 2024, and is funded by the Farmer Family. It was established to honor Henry as a lifelong DYHA player.

DARIEN YMCA DHS SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP

The Darien YMCA DHS Senior scholarship application can be found HERE. The scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who participated in Darien YMCA programs as a member, volunteer or staff throughout their youth. The award winner will have demonstrated the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility and also be involved in community service or leadership activities.

Deadline to submit an application to the Darien YMCA Scholarship Committee is Tuesday, March 31st. All information received will be held confidential. The scholarship will be paid directly to the college that the student is attending.

Theatre 308 Scholarship

The application can be found on the Theatre 308 Google Classroom. Scholarships are awarded to two DHS seniors deeply involved in Theatre 308. (one performance aspect and one technical aspect). Please submit the completed information form to Mr. Sorensen no later than March 22, 2026.

The Darien Education Association Scholarship
