  • Compliance Reminder: Per UTFI Policy and IRS regulations (§513(i)), if the value of benefits (tickets, meals, merchandise, services, etc.) exceeds 2% of the total contribution, the excess must be deducted as non-philanthropic. Only the remainder is receipted as a charitable gift.

  • To qualify for Blended Support, the transaction must include both a charitable gift and tangible benefits. 

    Blended Support might include event registrations, golf tournaments, etc., where benefits must be netted out.
