  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering at The Depot

    Please fill out this short form and attend an Info Session at The Depot. You’ll learn more about what we do and the different ways you can get involved.

    We hope you’ll find a good fit with us, but if our schedule or requirements don’t work for you, we encourage you to explore other volunteer opportunities. Your time and support make a difference, wherever you choose to give it. 

  • Volunteer Roles & Schedule

  • There are many ways to volunteer at The Depot — from helping in the kitchen, supporting after-school programs, working at receptions, or stocking our Marché Depot. There’s something for everyone!

    At the Info Session, we’ll explain each role, and you’ll be able to choose what interests you most.

    Our hours are Monday to Friday, roughly 9 AM to 7 PM. We rarely offer shifts outside these hours, so there are NO regular weekend shifts.

    Volunteer shifts are typically 3 hours long. 

    • Morning shifts are from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
    • Afternoon shifts are from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM
    • Evening shifts are from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM (Tuesdays are a bit later and end at 7:30 PM)

    Shift times may vary depending on the role — we’ll share more details during the Info Session.

  • Unfortunately, if you are not available during the week (Monday-Friday), we are unlikely to be able to place you as a volunteer.

    We want to thank you for your interesting in helping The Depot, and the community at large. Please don't stop your volunteering journey just because of this! We encourage you to consider another group (click here for some ideas) to volunteer with. The world could use all the help we can offer!

  • You've indicated that these hours are needed to fulfil the requirements for a program such as Paas-Action, Équijustice, or YMCA (Compensatory Work Program), among others.

  • Please confirm you'd like to cancel your attendance at the Volunteer Info session you signed up for.

    (If you'd like to sign up for another session, please complete the form again once you have cancelled your original registration.)

  • We ask that everyone interested in volunteering for The Depot attend an Information Session BEFORE they begin volunteering, to learn more about what we do, how we do it, and how volunteers work in our team.

    This email will also contain a link to cancel your registration if you find you cannot make it - please use this if you need to, as we sometimes run out of room in the Info Sessions and would love to offer your spot to someone else if you can't make it.
