  • Future Operational Considerations

    Starting in August, we will seek information regarding parade elements and Lights Festival Lane activations. Please see insurance requirements for all event sponsors, and please use the links below to submit all pavilion/booth requirements as well as parade element information, including talking points for the local and national broadcast. These items will be due between August 30th and October 15th, 2024. Please note that the forms below will also be sent to you individually in advance of desired due dates.

    PARADE SPONSORS: Please complete Parade Element Intake Form by Friday, September 16, 2024

    Please provide us with more detailed information about your parade vehicle or element and vehicle contact information by filling out the form below.

    PARADE SPONSORS: Please complete Talking Points for Vehicles/Television Broadcast (ABC Inc./WLS-TV) by October 4, 2024

    Two-three concise copy points per each parade vehicle will be presented to ABC Inc./WLS-TV, who will make best efforts to deliver as vehicles pass through the broadcast area.

    LIGHTS FESTIVAL LANE SPONSORS: Please complete the Pavillion/Booth Equipment Checklist as soon as possible and no later than September 16, 2024

    Please provide us with the desired sizes and equipment required for your Lights Festival Lane pavillion/booth.

    PARADE SPONSORS: Please complete Parade Participant Agreement of Release by November 4, 2024

    An Agreement of Release for parade participants is included for your review and execution.

    PARADE SPONSORS: Parade Participation Forms must be completed and in the hand of the driver of your parade element on Saturday, November 23, 2024

    Please provide us with information regarding your parade vehicle's owner by filling out the Parade Participation Form (link to document is below). Please have the completed form ready on-site the day of the event as it will be collected by the Chicago Police Department prior to step-off at the parade.

    It is critical that you also bring this Parade Participation Form with you to the event - Chicago Police requires all parade vehicle drivers to provide a current drivers license and vehicle insurance upon arrival at staging check-in. These documents must remain on the vehicle driver at all times throughout the duration of the parade or the vehicle will not be allowed to travel down the parade route.
